AI Remediation Advice

Vulnerability Manager provides remediation advice to help users understand how to fix vulnerabilities found on their assets.

Standard Remediation Advice

Within the individual vulnerabilities detail page we include standard remediation advice, such as a recommended software upgrade, patch or configuration change. This guidance is useful as a starting point, but it is not specific to your servers setup or operating system.

AI Remediation Advice

AI remediation advice is available to give users more specific guidance for their environment.

The AI-generated advice usually includes:

  • Systems details
  • Vulnerability summary
  • Recommended actions or remediation information
  • Commands or checks that may help confirm the issue
  • Guidance on verifying that the fix has worked

Before Applying Changes

Vulnerability Manager’s AI remediation advice is designed to give you extra support when fixing vulnerabilities. It provides guidance based on the selected vulnerability and operating system, but users should check that the advice is appropriate for their server, software versions, configuration, and broader environment.

Where possible, test the changes in a development or test environment before applying them to a live or production server.

How AI Data Is Handled

The AI feature does not learn from customer data; it is not used to train the AI model.

We may store the queries and responses generated by this feature in our database. This allows us to return the correct information to the user, support customer queries and investigate issues where needed. It does not sit within any AI model.
